The inspiration for the design of the building begins by finding a place that can be used as a public space for activities, socializing, and relaxing. Designers have chosen the coastal area because it is suitable for initial needs and there are also challenges to design.

The design concept was born from site analysis where barnacles were selected as a case study. Because it is a creature that is physically and biologically attractive. Meanwhile inspiration from the clusters of hard-shelled barnacles present at high tide, as well as “people’s natural tendency to cluster together, like barnacles.”
